Class Times & Descriptions for Sunday
Heads up, folks! We've posted the class schedule for Sunday's event on our Holiday info page. Just follow the link here. We'll have two dedicated craft demo tents each hosting their own classes all day long. Subjects include: Needle Felting 101, Recycled Holiday Ornaments, Gift Box/Mini-Altar 101, Bead Simple Jewelry, Craft Biz 101, Felt Flower Brooches, Charm Jewelry 101, Knitting 101 and Crochet 101. WHEW! Just think, now you can not only buy some great gifts for family and friends-- you can also learn to make them!
What is Maker Square?
So, you already know that Felt Club events feature tons of amazing vendors selling handmade arts and crafts, clothing and jewelry, comic books and toys. But this time around we're also hosting something called Maker Square, which is a mini version of the popular Maker Faire event produced by the staff of Make and Craft magazines. If you're new to the world of Makers, think "offbeat science fair" and you're not too far off. We're so happy to be able to add this extra element to Felt Club, which will make things even more fun and interactive. The Maker Square portion of Felt Club will feature people like Mister Jalopy, who will demonstrate his Mobile Drive-In Movie Projector (featured on the cover of MAKE Vol.11), Jason Torchinsky's " Super Stick", a 5-foot tall Atari 2600 joystick (which actually works!!), Jed Berk and his Blubberbots, and many more. In short, Maker Square is DIY meets techno-nerdiness at it's best!
Advance Ticket Locations
We've got a lot more info on the way about our November 18 event, but we wanted to make sure and tell you where you can pick up advance tickets (only $2.50! Kids under 12 free.) starting this FRIDAY, NOVEMBER 9. Here we go! The Little Knittery (Atwater Village) Reform School (Silver Lake) Secret Headquarters (Silver Lake) Handmade Galleries LA (Sherman Oaks) Munky King (Melrose Location) Family (Fairfax) The Silent Movie Theater (Fairfax) We are not offering advance tickets online, since the merchant fees charged by credit card companies would eat up any profit from our low, low $2.50 ticket price--and we need the money to help cover our event costs. ALSO! When you arrive at Felt Club, you'll receive a door prize ticket, meaning you could win an amazing gift from a variety of cool folks, including Chronicle Books, Reform School, Sublime Stitching and more! (And yes, you can of course purchase tickets when you arrive at Felt Club, they will be $5 at the door. Thanks!)
Auntie Em's is Back!
Auntie Em's Kitchen will be returning to Felt Club to offer delicious sandwiches, hot coffee and yummy treats! They were such a big hit last time that they sold out mid-day, but they're coming back bigger and better than ever, with more stock on hand to tantalize your tastebuds. OK, we're rambling here (and very cheesily we might add), but their food really is that good! Be sure to visit their booth at Felt Club on November 18!
Bead Simple Jewelry Demo

XL Holiday Vendor List!
After many, many hours of jury deliberation (hours that involved scads of scribbled-upon notebooks, color-coded Excel Spreadsheets and a jumbo-sized bag of Halloween candy) we finally have our list for XL Holiday 2007. We had over three times the amount of applications than we had spaces for, which made choosing our list especially tough. The full vendor gallery (with photos and links) will be updated over the next week or so, but here's a sneak peek at the list of vendors who made it in this time around...
